Singapore’s Home Grown Pluto Technology to launch the World’s Smallest Home
Server powered by Microsoft Windows Home Server at Comex 2008
Singapore, 18 August 2008 –
Singapore’s home grown Pluto Technology is pleased to announce the launch of
the world’s smallest home server named “Baby Pluto”. Powered by Microsoft
Windows Home Server, it is an easy to use digital lifestyle solution for the
home. This smart hub gathers and protects family photos, music and videos in
one place, enabling easier access by family members at home or remotely.
Imagine being able to power
up your music through Xbox 360, share your kids pictures and stream home
videos over the web or connect to your home server when you are travelling.
With automatic back-ups, your important family memories are protected.
Adding more space to accommodate more family videos is also easy to do.
“Baby Pluto” is the
smallest of its kind weighing no more than 1.5 kg, is no bigger than a 500
ml water bottle or a standard telephone at 230mm (H) x 60mm (W) x 205mm(D)
(photo enclosed).
“Baby Pluto”
will make its worldwide debut at Comex from 28th – 31st August 2008. It
comes in a choice of black or white and will retail in Singapore at S$699
(including GST). It will be available for sale at Pluto’s booth 6868 at The
Suntec City Convention Centre on Level 6.
“I am very excited to
introduce “Baby Pluto” as a smart hub for the home to the Singapore consumer
who is not necessarily technically inclined and yet appreciates the benefits
of having powerful computing resources that work. I’ve used the Windows
Home Server myself for the last year and feel that consumers in Singapore
are ready to accept a new addition to the PC family. The services provided
with Microsoft Windows Home Server are easy to use and I personally found
that the features help extend my personal and professional work, leisure
activity and enjoyment of life with greater peace of mind at home. “Baby
Pluto” is my ideal version of what I know the Windows Home Server can do for
every consumer,” said Daven Chang, Director, Pluto Technology.
